YOUTH COUNCIL

The Youth council meets the third Saturday of each month at the
Roy Wilkins Center, located at 270 W 96th street, New York, NY 10025
Telephone (212) 749-2323.

Young people, ages 8—24 are welcome as members.  Council activities are designed to keep young people informed of the issues affecting African Americans and others, while equipping them with the skills and strategies needed to address them. The primary focus is economic development, education, health, juvenile justice and voter empowerment. The Council is governed by elected officers with the support of a Youth Advisor.
